Epson Stylus Photo TX700W Driver and Software Download. Epson’s Stylus Photo TX700W lacks some of the more expensive Stylus Photo TX800FW’s business-focused functionality, as well as some of the TX800FW’s notable features. Fortunately, the extensive connectivity has not been lost. Unfortunately, the TX700W lacks the quality that we expect from a multifunction with the Stylus Photo logo.
The TX700W features an Italian design with a beautiful black fascia and some unique curves. It does not have an automated document feeder, and the touch panel present on the Stylus Photo TX800FW has been replaced by a 2.5in colour LCD screen and a regular button arrangement. The controls are located on a hinged panel that can be tilted to the user’s preference by simply lifting it; however, returning it to its original position requires the user to hit an Unlock button (we missed the button at first glance).

The TX700W does not have a fax machine, but it does include Ethernet and Wi-Fi connectivity, as well as a media card reader that supports MemoryStick, SD, xD, CompactFlash, and a PictBridge-capable USB port. The printer also includes a separate photo paper tray and direct CD/DVD printing with an integrated input tray.
The TX700W has slightly variable printing speeds, although it prints swiftly in general. A draft-quality mono text document will print at an average of 24.2 pages per minute, with the first page out in 22 seconds. When utilising average quality, this slows to 8.7ppm. Graphical documents print at 25ppm in draught mode and 8.9ppm in normal quality mode. 4x6in photographs print in 28.6 seconds, while A4 photos take 1 minute and 17 seconds.
Although it is speedy, the TX700W does not deliver the best quality. Text documents are intelligible, although characters are more bolder and less crisp than text produced with the Stylus Photo TX800FW. Colors suffer the most: they are oversaturated and have low contrast. Colors in graphical papers and photographs are both bland. On the other side, banding is barely evident, and clarity is acceptable. However, we were not expecting such a decline in quality from the Stylus Photo TX800FW.
